Which is the best desktop computer that is also affordable?
Me and my husband are looking for a desktop computer for ourselves. He’s kind of a music and computer game freak so I want to get a computer that is going to hold up to those things he likes to do. He’s been looking at Alien Ware and he really wants that one. But I want to try and get something that comes close to it but affordable. Any suggestions?
The most affordable method is building it yourself. You can save 100′s of dollars on a pc for gaming. I saved almost a 1000.00 on my last build compared to an Alienware. Check out these links for more info.

Do all your reading first, get familiar with the components before you do any buying.

Barebones kits are also an option. They have most of the componets allready picked for you to aviod incompatability. Tipically you will have to get a hard drive, optical drive, video card, and an operating system to complete these.

I actually have that exact case, just the case. It’s huge, there is plenty of room to work on this monster.
Good Luck.
Dell.com. They will let you build one to your specs and they are great computers at a reasonable price.
You should look for computers with Windows XP Professional or Windows Vista Ultimate. Since Windows has a wide coverage of multiple games, I guess your husband will enjoy it. With any Windows Operating System, he can play the latest games out in the store. Your best choices should be Windows XP Professional or Windows Vista Ultimate. The brand? Dell or Aspire (Acer).
