    I have a 13" Mac Book Pro which cost like $1,200. Saving for one is definitely worth it, and it comes with itunes.

  • The Blunt Ugly Truth:

    An Apple macbook.

    Why on earth would anyone buy a Piece of Crap (PC)? Viruses, malware, slow load times, you spend a fortune on anti-virus crap. (Macs don’t get viruses). PCs are hunks of junk.

    well the best laptop for me is Sony Vaio i have try many laptops but Vaio is the best, but in your budget pick one of this 2, Dell Vostro 1500 or Acer Aspire 5520

    a toshiba satellite would be the best chose to have if you like windows i wont get a mac if i were you because of the computability issues on a lot of programs i would suggest a laptop with at-least 4 gb in ram, a 500 gb HDD, and a all in one optical drive with a 14" or a 16" laptop screen with only intel core 2 duo or centurion processor with 3.2 to 4.0 MHz

    I know it has to be under $700 but a Mac will be much better.They don’t get viruses, they run really well, they are compatible with PCs, they are more attractive on the outside, and they will last twice as long as a PC. I had a PC for three years. By the year and a half mark it was so full of viruses and took ridiculous amounts of time to do things even though I had multiple types of security software.

    I would suggest making the extra investment and getting a Mac. It will be so worth your money, I promise.

    If you really must get a PC I’ve heard VIAO is good. And my sister says the new Dell Inspiron is good.

    A Dell computer is the best made. They use high quality parts.
    And if you want a fast browser, after you get your computer download google chrome and mozilla firefox and open the browsers and download cooliris as an add-in. These browsers work really great. Internet Explorer is not worth a crap and will hang up the computer.

    I think you should go with Dell Studio XPS or Sony Vaio laptop both of these are really nice and perfect in functionality.

    You can consider buying HP Pavilion DV6-2162NR 15.6-Inch Black Laptop–Up to 4.25 Hours of Battery Life…
    * Very solid and comfortable (and quiet) keyboard with lots of space, very ergonomic.
    * The fact that it has a number pad area like a desktop keyboard.
    * The widescreen performance and look. It just totally feels like a 17" screen even though its not.
    * Speed, as I mentioned.
    * Startup time is excellent. I can open and use an application in < 30-secs. I can also start many applications at once without it skipping a beat.
    * Quiet and speedy CD-rom.
    * Nice 500GB hard drive
    Potential drawbacks.
    * The i3 is very new but also the bottom of the tier of this generation of intel processors. It might become dated or bog down after I add a lot more data/programs to the system. The 4GB of RAM is a big help in keeping things moving.

    * ntel Core i3-350M processor (2.26 GHz, 3MB L3 Cache)
    * 4GB DDR3 System Memory (2 DIMM) (expandable to 8 GB)
    *500GB (7200RPM) Hard Drive (SATA), SuperMulti 8X DVD±R/RW with Double Layer Support
    * Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, * Up to 4.25 Hours of Battery Life
    * 15.6" Diagonal High-Definition LED HP BrightView Display (1366×768), Intel HD Graphics with up to 1696MB Total Available Graphics Memory
