What Laptop to Buy for a Business Major?
I am going to be entering college next year a s a direct admit into the business program. Lately i have been leaning towards a Mac book but i have heard that some applications wont work on a Mac. Is this true? If this is true could i get the microsoft office on the computer and use that when i have to. Also if anyone has had any problems can you recommend a different computer that would be best for a business student.
I would say go with Windows, the computer will be cheaper, you will have more options.
Basically choice a stock standard, name brand laptop, get at least a 14" screen and one with a built in DVD drive. Though I would say avoid Sony, as they are not really value for money (but still good quality).
But, having said that, if you are slight of build and don’t want to lug around a lot of weight, get something smaller and lighter.
As for Macs, I think they are over priced, toys for people who want to be cool (but really aren’t ). Like iPhones, no serious business person uses an iPhone and doesn’t complain about how it doesn’t do many things. Cool yes, useful…not really.
But…Macs can run windows, and all your office apps. So if you can be cool and business orientated at the same time. Office is available for the Mac, but the version is a little different.
But while I don’t like Macs, don’t let someone tell you they won’t let you run all your windows apps. You run a version of windows inside the Mac OS, and laugh at the Mac nah sayers….ha.
Macbook is best for business purpose but i think you should buy sony viao laptop because they comes in beautiful color range which attracts people towards your laptop while you using infront of any person.
