    Dell Studio

The one that has all the features you need at a price you can afford.

Why would anyone else’s opinions on this matter to you? You’re the one who’s going to use the device, not anyone out here. I could tell you all about the great device I have, but it might not be what you need. For example, I do development, so I need certain features and I don’t need others (for example, gaming rigs…I don’t play games).

You might want that stuff. You might to multimedia development or want to watch a lot of movies.

Find the model you want, customize it if necessary (all the major companies have this capability on their sites), and get what YOU can afford.

    Screw everyone else.

I wouldnt go dell. They have an average life of 2.5 years. The only people who say dells are good, are the people who just bought one. Buyers remorse. I would go Tosh/Sony/Apple. Average life 5 years. What ever you get look for a dedicated graphics card, dual core 2.2+, atleast 4 gig ram, and a hidef screen.

I would start with a Dell insperon, maybe a Studio. Depends on your price range.

starting with the minimum ; you want an intel dual core processor, 3 gs of RAM, 160 hd, and a dedicated video card. Dell is a top brand and you can customize upward depending on your budget. 15.6 inches has become the mainline standard in display size.
