using an asset for business use 100% of the time?
how does the government verify if you are using an asset for business use 100% of the time? i have a small business and want to buy a laptop computer for "business use" and deduct the price using section 179. what about a car? other items?
The IRS trusts you. It is that simple.
Even an audit can’t really tell if a computer is used for amusement or business purposes. When it comes to cars they don’t have to be quite so trusting since your life style may provide evidence that are cheating, in which case they stop trusting you and you will suffer — big time!
Hope this helps
