I have never used a webcam, and I’m concerned that I could be sitting here minding my own business on the internet, and people can see me– can this happen? If this is so, what do I need to do so it is off and I am not visible?

I recently formatted my computer and installed Vista Business. I now have to look for all the drivers including those for the webcam and Quickplay. I went on the HP driver download for my laptop but wasn’t sure what to download. Can anyone tell me what exactly to download?

I can get a computer with a 2.4 ghz intel dual core processor, 2 gb ram a 512 mb nVidia Geforce graphics card, 160 GB 5200rpm hard drive and a 17" 1680x 1050 pixel screen with an included webcam and microphone. This is all for 13, while most companies would charge closer to 00 for this type of configuration. I want to know if there are other quality issues i should worry about that arent as obvious, or if its just cheap for some business reason such as HP is such a big company that they get things bulk or something like that.
