My husband bought me a new HP laptop computer with a built in webcam. I have never used a webcam, and I’m concerned that I could be sitting here minding my own business on the internet, and people can see me– can this happen? If this is so, what do I need to do so it is off and I am not visible?

I have a HP Pavillion dv6000 (dv2568se) that came installed with Vista Home Premium and all the Quickplay drivers. I recently formatted my computer and installed Vista Business. I now have to look for all the drivers including those for the webcam and Quickplay. I went on the HP driver download for my laptop but wasn’t sure what to download. Can anyone tell me what exactly to download?

what is the best laptop computer for someone who doesnt do a lot with their computer? i need a webcam for video chat when my husband is deployed. i use my computer for…online shopping, social websites, email and photo sharing/storage and that’s about it. every laptop i’ve looked at has a lot of bells and whistles that i just wont use. i need something dependable but that isnt decked out with everything. dont want to pay extra money for things i’ll never use.

I am looking for a new laptop computer and I have found that HP is by far the lowest priced computer. I can get a computer with a 2.4 ghz intel dual core processor, 2 gb ram a 512 mb nVidia Geforce graphics card, 160 GB 5200rpm hard drive and a 17" 1680x 1050 pixel screen with an included webcam and microphone. This is all for 13, while most companies would charge closer to 00 for this type of configuration. I want to know if there are other quality issues i should worry about that arent as obvious, or if its just cheap for some business reason such as HP is such a big company that they get things bulk or something like that.

I would love for I to have a microphone and webcam with it with lots of storage and battery life. Thanks for any suggestions!

I am looking for a good laptop that will last me a while. I am going off to college in less then a year and I want my laptop to have a webcam so i can still keep in contact with my old friends. I do not have a lot of money so I need a good laptop that isn’t going to cost me a lot
