What is the best desktop computer for me to get under $1,400 ?
I’m interested in buying a new desktop with a budget of 1400 dollars (Canadian). I want it to run smoothly and to be able to handle multiple applications at the same time. I don’t really need it for things like gaming, but I work with videos and media in general… programs like sony vegas, fx etc.. So what brand shoud I get? Gateway? HP? Acer?
Dual Core or i3/i5 etc?
I’m not exactly a pro at choosing the right technology, so I really need help
Oh, also I’ve been told to build one from scratch, but I don’t like the risks that come along with the parts not working together etc, just …no.
Thanks in advance!

Whats the best computer / laptop for Photography editing, storing etc?
I would like to get a computer and/or a laptop that works best for the needs of an amateur photographer, and when I say amateur, I mean, I love it, I’m just not good at it. I’d like a computer that is great for ease of use, reliable, photo friendly, and has great features that can assist me with my hobby. I understand programs are available to purchase that help as well, but I believe that there are better computers out there specifically for the above mentioned uses. Thanks in advance.

Want to major in business. Do i need laptop?
I want to study business in college/university. I will be staying at home, in terms of residence. I have a 10 inch netbook, a 17 inch laptop, and a desktop. Do i need another laptop?
I mean, the only really portable computer i have is my netbook, is that enough? Thats the only laptop id consider bringing to school and back.
If i do need another laptop, what size should i get? I was considering a 14 or a 15.5 inch vaio, what do you think?
Also, what will my laptop mainly be used for in university? Typing notes(I can do that on my desktop at home)? or others? please specify
Lastly, how many courses do we get to choose in university? I want to major in business, and i know that the number of courses i get to choose may vary. But approx, how many? 2? 3? more?
I know its a lot to ask. But i really need help. Thanks in Advance!!!
Need an advice on Retail Computer Business?
Since December is near I am planning to open a retail computer business (Both In-Store & Online). My supplier can provide me with Refurbished Laptops, Desktops and Towers with Pentium 4 technology in Desktops& Towers and Intel Centrino Mobile technology in laptops.
My prices are extremely cheap but my business depends on mostly out dated technology. Is it worth while investing money in Refurbished business or should I invest in purchase of New Laptops/Refurbished with New Technology. The latest technology I am getting is Intel Core2Duo laptop in Dell Latitude D620 and as per my survey this particular laptop didn’t do well in the market.
Moreover my main market is USA and Canada.
And as Christmas is near what would you guys prefer to gift in computer technology to your loved ones?
Also what kind of standard warranty you guys would like to get on Refurbished units.
Your input will be highly beneficial for me.
Thanks in advance

Best desktop computer for video editing and production?
Money is certainly an issue, however, not one that I can’t eventually overcome (meaning that the cheapest quality computer would be nice, but if desktops under ,000 won’t do the trick, still mention your recommendations). I’m planning to film/edit/produce my own entire full-length film (full-length as in an estimated 2 hrs or more), and am looking for the best computer to do it with. I currently use a 3-year-old Gateway laptop with a poor graphics card and hardly any memory, which, of course, is far from optimal for such a task. I’m searching to find a Windows Desktop (sorry Mac fans, I’ve just never cared for the interface…or the price tag) with enough memory, RAM, and graphics capabilities necessary to run programs such as Sony Vegas 8 and Adobe After Effects with minimal freezing, locking up, and with a decent loading time. If anyone could even just give me some specs to look for in computers, I’d be ecstatic, for as of right now, I’m completely lost on where and how to start looking.
Thanks in advance for the help!
What can of job can I get with an AS degree in Business Computer Applications?
I have taken classes in Desktop Publisher, FrontPage, Access, Word, QuickBooks Pro, PowerPoint, Visual Basic,Data Entry, plus 4 Accounting classes including Payroll. I just need some ideas because I would like to work in all areas that take creativity and imagination. I have also had 15 years of cashiering but due to surgeries I can no longer stand on my feet for that job.
Thanks in advance for your ideas.
