i want to buy a new computer but i want it to work perfectly and also be reliable can someone help me please

HI. There, bear with me this might be confusing.

I’ve been running a "business"on the side since i’ve been out of high school, that being that I build custom desktop computers for people. I usually buy parts out of my own pocket from Newegg.com (lets say 0) then build it, deliver it, and install in the person’s home charging 0 more for the whole thing. Ergo, the customer pays me a total lump some of 0 for their new computer when the job is complete; the money I spent on Newegg gets replenished and 0 goes to me.

But soon I’m going to the department of corporations to incorporate myself and also start accepting credit card payments since I’ve been dealing in cash and checks. So I need to think about sales tax now- heres where it gets confusing.

Newegg.com does not charge sales tax, I dont know why. My question is, If parts from newegg cost 0 and my labor costs 0, then the 0 that the customer pays without knowing exactly how much the parts or labor balance out in that figure needs to have another 8.5% added to go to the state? Or are just the parts taxed, or just the labor since I already bought the parts and am kind of just charging to assemble it?

The other question is; a wholesaler of already built laptops and tablets and stuff (sourcecode.com) I deal with besides newegg does in fact charge sales tax on those computers that I then mark up and resell. What gets taxed? Just my markup, or the entire thing even though that would be taxing it twice? As you can see I’m just out of highschool and I’m trying to be legit here but I’m a bit confused. i’m looking for a new computer. I thought I wanted a laptop, but I’m leaning towad buying another desktop. Wanna know which are the better ones for under 00. I won’t b doing major things, just surfing the web, composing documents, scanning/uploading pictures, minor stuff like that.

i need to buy a new computer this summer as my old one is becoming very outdated. i need a laptop or desktop that is very multi-media oriented meaning good gaming capability and support. any ideas of what to buy?

to make a long story very short i took my not even 2 yr old laptop to the shop to get a new jack… they made me pay them 0. when i got it back basically the store said it was broken beyond repair and kinda admitted they were at fault. they only gave me 75 bucks back and refuse to give me the rest of my money and give me a new computer. do you think its worth taking to court? and what are some other places beside the better business that i can file a complaint online.

the guy that owns the store i believe is an asshole i talked to him. he refused to give me my $$ the next day i went back with friends and got only half.. slight prob but i dont think the manager is smart enough to realize..the reciept says that they arent responsible if they break anything.. yet they gave me a warranty for the part. u think i can still sue? yes i learned my mistake and will not go to this kinda store again

I have a 3 year extended plan. I forget if it’s a Product Replacement Plan (PRP) or Performance Service Plan. What type of and degree of damage can guarantee a new computer following the policies of the plan instead of just repairing it? Thanks.

I’m just wondering if anyone can to it. I am NOT looking to build a computer, I dont have that kinda time on my hands. I also don’t care about the video card, as i plan to use my current Nvidia 8800 Overclocked GT
Eh, I have a few power supplies around here somewhere, one of them is bound to be good enough. I always can afford to buy a new power supply when if i need to. I also want one that comes with a free upgrade to Windows 7 because I cant deal with Vista.

I need ram and lots of hard drive space, i need it to be fast and have great graphic card. Also would help to have a medium to semi high res/and a good screen..

im not sure how much ill get back but maybe ill get roughly 900.00 to 1,000. Im not sure yet.. so what brands would be best to you?

i can either A: Upgrade my computer,get a newer tablet or B. Get a new computer/laptop and live with my old tablet that does alright..

what would u do if given those options?

My Compaq desktop computer running Windows 7 business died, the same model of computer is no longer available. I purchased a new Dell and intend to remove it’s SATA hard drive and use the SATA hard drive from the Compaq. Will it work? Will Windows 7 automatically install the appropriate drivers?
Thanks, I wasn’t aware the activiation was tied to specific hardware. It was a Retail DVD of Windows 7…will I not be able to activate it on the new computer? (I need Windows 7 Business), the new computer has Windows 7 Premium if I remember right.

I am in a small business and already have a laptop and a desktop. However I bought the laptop before my business started so it is mainly for home use and does not have the specs needed for a small business. And my desktop is 5 or 6 years old so i need a new computer. I have been looking at the dell latitude models and was wondering if I should get a new desktop or just get a new laptop all together. Please help I cant decide whats best.
