I’m also wondering what a Notebook is? Is it another name for laptop or is it different. What should I look for if I plan to use it for basic personal and business needs. I won’t be using it to watch movies or listen to music although I’m thinking those might be options. Can you tell me what basics I should look for and where to look? What can I expect to pay and how can I know the condition of a used one?

I’m a college student with several online classes. I need a fast computer with good memory that can read/write disks and play dvd’s and music. Aside from work, I also want it to be good for entertainment, but I don’t need it for computer games. What’s the best type/brand of laptop to buy, which won’t make me go broke?

I am looking for a new laptop that is under 0? I am not picky when it comes to the manufacturer. I just need something that is fast and is going to hold a good amount of music and movies. Okay soooo I authorized my regular computer, and my laptop on itunes. I am downloading music from limewire now because money situations tight. But my regular computer is for business so i am using my laptop for limewire. I have added the music from limewire to the intunes library on my laptop, but how do i get it to show up on the other computer? My ipod has the music on it, but i want to listen to it on the business computer.

I want something so quiet that you can’t even hear it (pin-drop silent), and a computer that uses extremely low energy that you can never turn it off and keep electricity bills low (like business client computers)

I have a budget of 0(cdn). I am not a gamer. I like making music and watching videos. I’d like to have a somewhat large ram. Preferably not refurbished. I do not want windows vista and I don’t need a huge hard drive. Could someone recommend me a good desktop computer? Thanks in advance.

Me and my husband are looking for a desktop computer for ourselves. He’s kind of a music and computer game freak so I want to get a computer that is going to hold up to those things he likes to do. He’s been looking at Alien Ware and he really wants that one. But I want to try and get something that comes close to it but affordable. Any suggestions?
