I’m starting a business that will provide the following services:

Internet Cafe
Computer Training/School
Computer & Phone Repairs
Electronics Case to sell laptops, Flash Drives, Computer Accessories etc

All the above departments are in one building. I have been wondering how to name the business so that it can give a general idea to potential customers. Can you please suggest something for me? Anything will be helpful. Thanks

this is my current set up: My wireless router is connected to my cable modem. i have 2 laptops with vista home and vista business and i have a dell desktop with server 2003 enterprise which has a lan card(disabled nothing connected to it) in it and also has a wireless card in it as well.

all computers can access the internet, my wireless router is not set up for domain use or as a domain. what i am trying to do is join my vista business laptop to the domain on the server 2003 computer via wireless. i added the vista business laptop computer name to active directory and i cant join the domain. i get an error stating that it can’t contact the domain. is this possible to do? i have it set up this way so that my girl can still use her vista laptop without using the domain because i am setting up the domain for practice so i can get my certs will i take the classes at school. i need some help.

I love building computers and want to start my own business. I don’t care about making millions just enough to live is all I want. I would buy from newegg.com and making 50-200 off the computers I sell till I can making partners with actual companies AMD, Intel, Asus ect ect. But is it really worth it?… I just feel more and more people have figured out that its not hard to build computers. I feel the need for companies is slipping away. My only thought is laptops… which I don’t have much experience with.. Please help…
Well I can get laptops. That’s not really a problem. But if I go laptops I should probably just make desktops too..
Ok I see what your saying. But how do I start to do something THAT big?!

We have 3 desktops and two laptops. they net w/ one computer which has the business software.All have internet access.

I am going into my second year of uni for business.
The purpose of this laptop is mainly for writing papers, and also for research. (I have access to a desktop computer, I just need this one to take with me to the library).
I would like to get a netbook (the smaller laptops), and I do not want to spend anymore than 300$.
I have no idea about computers or anything so if anybody has any recommendations that would be great!

I am a student, business major and currently i have a desktop. I am looking for an affordable laptop for my computing need… the only problem is that i dont know how much ram.. hard drive, what kind of processor or anything. I know what a want physically but i dont know what is good as far as the insides. Could someone please tell me what is recommended as far as computer and laptops go?

They are both actually different in several ways. A Laptop is portable and tends to be smaller in size, for mobile use and efficient power consumption. Laptops are much expensive in price than Desktop computers though. They run on a single main battery so it can charge the battery while also supplying power to the computer itself. In addition, they also have a built in keyboard that may utilize the touchpad (also known as a track pad) or a pointing stick for input. On the other hand, a Desktop computer is made for a home or office, they are the most affordable computers in business, schools, etc. This is because no effort is needed to miniaturize the components. Moreover, a Desktop usually have a physical keyboard and mouse interface which can house lower performing, power-saving components, (in comparison to larger laptops). They tend to have limited battery life, rarely exceeding three hours, because the hardware is not optimized for efficient power usage.

My neighbour makes a living by buying various faulty electrical goods (kitchen appliances, computers, mp3 players, etc …) fixes them and then sells them at second hand/junk shops ,or even at car boot sales. He makes quite a lot of money and I’ve always been interested in general computer/laptop logistics and how it all works, so for me a job buying old/broken/faulty computers and laptops, fixing them, adding on more hardware, even upgrading them, then selling them on would be perfect. But a the moment it’s just an idea, and I wouldn’t have a clue where to start! So if anyone knows what would be the best courses to enroll on? Or just general information on where to start and what i’de need to do, would be a great help.

I have started a small business in March of 2008. I still do not have funding and cannot get a buisness loan because I am only 16. I would like to know if anyone knew of anybody who donated things to small business such as laptops, and desktop computers,ect.

I have started raising money to buy a laptop. But i was wondering if anybody knew where i could get one for free…because that would be a bigger help.
