how does the government verify if you are using an asset for business use 100% of the time? i have a small business and want to buy a laptop computer for "business use" and deduct the price using section 179. what about a car? other items?

I have a Gateway Solo 5300 laptop computer. I want to replace the fan inside (It’s way too noisy), increase the RAM from 128 to 256, swap out the CD ROM for a DVD Rom, and replace the 10 gig. hard drive with something basic…maybe just 20 gig. I intend to take this to one of those local homegrown computer businesses. I’d also like them to transfer all of my programs from the old hard drive to the new….not from the disks, but just a direct transfer hd to hd. How much do you think I’ll have to spend for this?

I am looking for a laptop computer to start my bookkeeping business? I want a good laptop and I am sort of a cluts (falling down or tripping), If I get laptop, I would need to get service plan. I am considering buying laptops from Circuit City, Best Buy or Wal-Mart. I like would like to buy a dell, but I really do not want to be paying bucks for the next 4 years. ii.Where would you re-sell it if you wanted to make a profit? (Ignore any taxes, tariffs, transportation costs, and differences in quality).
iii.Does purchasing power parity hold?
iv.If many Canadian and American businesses acted like you, and if he exchange rate was flexible, what would happen to the value of the exchange rate?
v.What would be the new equilibrium exchange rate that would make purchasing power parity hold for laptops, if the U.S. dollar price and the Canadian dollar price stayed constant?

I am a KJ going digital and am looking for the best — or best for the price — PC laptop computer to run my show? Yes, I always hear that I should go MAC — and I will ultimately — but for now I have to use a PC. I keep getting conflicting opinions. Any model names, numbers, etc. would be greatly appreciated. I’m going to be buying a new laptop computer around July or August for my first year of college. I need to find out what the best computer brand would be to buy if I wanted a laptop computer, I need one for a lot of media files but can still do the basics and maybe a little more.

I have a decent laptop computer but my desktop is obsolete. I use the desktop for homeowner business, paying bills, letter writing, storing and processing photos. I am not a gamer and don’t need space on my desk. Am I dumb for still wanting a desktop computer in this age of wireless networks?
