i’m a complete newbie at this computer business, but i need a better graphic cards for a game i want to play. Currently i have an ATI radeon x1200. Which type should i look for generally?

I have already asked this question about which is the best desktop computer that is affordable, but could withstand the games my husband plays. I didnt spesify which games he uses and thats what im going to do here. He loves to play the game: Counter Strike. Any games like that he loves. So I want to find a computer that not only he can use for his games, but I can use for myself. Also, AFFORDABLE!

i need a laptop for college for computer science the i’m switching to computer engineering? i need to know what computer i should get. i would also like to be able to put a game on it or 2 and maybe some musice without slowing it down. does anyone know what i should get and the difference between business and regular. should ijust go with a business laptop?

Monitor need not be included but if you also have a favorite monitor that’d be great to hear also. This computer should be the best of the best. Super fast, capable of running any game and program. Lots of Memory and hard drive space, and if possible even a blu ray burner. I mean the best of the best, price is not an issue. It just has to be a prebuilt machine, not a custom one (and yes I know I can custom build a better one for cheaper).

Haha. My mom’s buying me one. For 700 bucks or less. I just don’t know which one to get. I don’t game a lot i just use small things like Audacity and iTunes. Oh and I like using multiple tabs. Something fast. Thanksss (:

I am buying a laptop very soon and I need to know what is the best kind of processor. Both of my desktops are pentium, but I hear that those are not always the best kind to use. I will be using my laptop instead of my desktop. I primarily use my computer to game. I am trying to look for the best laptop for me. And I know that how you use it makes a difference.

I have a computer friend who I think I can get to install additional ram… but I am familar with how important adequate ram is.

I plan to buy an external hard drive, so I am not concerned with how big the hard drive is. I know using an external hard drive will slow the usage down a lot. So I know the processer will be even more taxed than usual.

As for price, I am not really worried about it. I am getting this as a gift and was told that price is not an object. The only constraint I am working with is I have to get it from one particular person. Apparently, this person is selling it to the person I am getting it from for the price he got it for.

They just bought a Toshiba Satellite a205-s4707 for 400 bucks (regularly 900) from this person for themselves.

I will have a limited selection of brand and stuff to pick from and I need to basically select the best one for me out of the ones he has.
