i was recently in canada for about 2 months for some business and when i came back my desktop computer would take like 20 minutes so that the task-bar and the desktop to appear , and after that it would freeze for another 10 minutes until it finally starts acting normal , and i am running very impatient , my friend told me that he used it so i guessed that it was a virus so i used my NORTOn antivirus scanners and only a couple of viruses appeared , so i downloaded the antivirus google provided and i got rid of more than 44 infections , that was a month ago , now i get all those google messages that they think that i am an automated virus and would let me use google i need to fix this without formatting and any advice would be appreciated

Ok about a year ago, my family bought a desktop computer that came with Microsoft Office Small Business. I bought a laptop, and the trial on Microsoft Student just ran out recently. So my question is…. Can i download the Microsoft Office Small Business on my laptop, even though it was used on my desktop computer?

I’m moving my business out of my apartment into a small office and I’m hiring a couple of people. I need to buy a new desktop computer, install Quickbooks and MS Outlook into our computers, network the computers so we can share files, and make sure that nobody can hack into our computers. I’d like to hire someone to set up my small office. Is there a company that can do this? Or does anyone have any suggestions for my situation? I’m not good with computers.

Later on in college, I will be needing a desktop computer added on to my laptop. So, I was wondering what brand of computer is best for the programming of sciences and maths. I will be going to school to become an oral surgeon, so I will have specialized programming based on that. My desktop computer will mainly be used just for my the programming and some internet surfing for homework. Other than that, my laptop will be doing the rest of the work. Which desktop computer would be best for this situation?

I want to use Final Cut Pro so I need to buy a Mac just to use that program. Is there anywhere, retail place or online, that I can get a Mac computer cheap to use FCP?

By the way, is getting a desktop computer necessarily better than a laptop when using a program like Final Cut Pro?

I am currently using a Dell Inspiron 1505 laptop for for homework, internet, and occasionally World of Warcraft. All three (especially WoW) are insanely slow and im looking for a desktop computer instead of another laptop. I did some searching on the web and thought that the Gateway – Desktop with AMD Athlon™ X2 Dual-Core Processor looked like a good deal for the money. 2.7Ghz, plenty of RAM, hard drive, but im not sure whether theres an underlying problem that would conflict with my three uses on this computer. I would prefer no lag at all on WoW even on the highest video qualities. If you have any suggestions on upgrades for that desktop that i could install or any other desktop, please post. Thanks

can my desktop computer be saved? I need to find a local business that can take my desktop and see if it can be "cleaned" or someone who can make recommendation, even if that is "toss it"

I am going into my second year of uni for business.
The purpose of this laptop is mainly for writing papers, and also for research. (I have access to a desktop computer, I just need this one to take with me to the library).
I would like to get a netbook (the smaller laptops), and I do not want to spend anymore than 300$.
I have no idea about computers or anything so if anybody has any recommendations that would be great!

Need help fellas. What’s the best website for me to build my own desktop computer with a reasonable price (student here). I already tried www.cyberpowerpc.com
but I think their prices are too high, can’t afford it.

I have a laptop running vista business on wireless network, and a desktop computer on xp home edition connected directly to the router, is it possible for me to set up a domain, if so how?
