I need to purchase a new desktop computer for my wifes business that supports 2 displays with different uses, Not sure what or where to look for . the program will only sup
port computer with two vga outputs only

I’m looking into building a high end computer, that will probably end up costing around 2000$ CDN. To do so, I will have to sell the current computer, but I’m not sure what it’s worth, here are the specs:

- Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.0ghz (x2)
- 2 GB of RAM
- 250GB HD
- Radeon 2600XT HD 256MB
- Lightscribe DVD/CD burner and reader
- 13 in 1 media reader
- Windows Vista Business Edition
- Unused PCI slots
- Great all-around desktop computer

I ordered a desktop computer about a week or so ago and last Friday the warehouse stationed in California named Ibuypower told me that my desktop was packaged awaiting pickup and would ship out that day..so the warehouse has to ship it back to the place i ordered the desktop from because it was on backorder at the warehouse, and i was wondering if most shipping services would ship between the businesses on the weekend

I have a desktop computer and i have windows vista business that i just downloaded.I have 4 speakers that are hooked up to my computer the speakers that came with the computer are working fine but now that i put in windows vista business the other 2 speakers are not working and all the speakers have been working before.can someone tell me where to go set up the speakers so it recognizes 4 speakers.i cant find out where to go on windows vista nbusiness

My future father-in-law gave me a desktop computer from his shop. He owns a small business for which he makes circuit boards. The computer he gave me was running one of his machines(not exactly sure what it did though). It came with keyboard, mouse and CRT monitor.

The details that i do have:
(1) The computer is about 8yrs old, but in pristine condition. I took the cover off to inspect it and it looks brand new! Also…the cover seems to be heavy duty. It’s thick black sheet metal with braces on the inside and two handles on the outside!

(2) It has 2 Pentium III processors in it with Windows NT. Not sure on speed or memory! A cd player, floppy disc drive, video card and a couple of long skinny ports for which i assume linked to his machines in his shop(Parallel ports?).

Now…my question is; can this desktop computer be used as a home computer? Obviously a few changes would have to be made! First of which would be to change the OS to Windows XP or Vista. I would like to use it for internet(wireless) and hook it up to my Plasma TV as a monitor and watch movies and such! Is this possible?

Also…do they make Blu-ray players that can go inside Desktops?

It has two ports for monitors, i know what they look like! The long skinny ones are about 5in long and i’ve never seen them before…that’s why i assumed they were special for his machines!

I want to purchase a good gaming desktop computer for 0. Your suggestions can be of computers that can be bought online or off. The computer will be used for gaming, and that’s about it.

The games I would like to play are: Battlefield 2, Counter-Strike Source, Company of Heroes, and possibly WoW.

I have an Ebay Business, a Facebook business, I play large file games, Lots & Lots of pics, MSOffice, PrintShop, Lots & lots of Graphics, etc. What to do??? Which desktop computer would suit me? HELP!

It seems only in the US can you get a decent desktop computer online for a fair price. (between 1000 and 1600 USD, depending on whether dual video cards are included or not)

BTW: decent computer = at LEAST 500 watt power supply (preferably 750+), at least 2 pci-e x16 slots on motherboard SLI compatible (preferably 3 or 4 slots) at least 2gb ram (preferably 4+), dual Nvidia NVS 290 x16 video cards or better (this is optional, I can pick these up separately), no preloaded operating system (optional, I can always delete windows as soon as I get the computer, but it’s stupid to have to pay for something I’m not even going to use).

CyberPower and Dell USA sell these for fair prices, but neither will ship to Canada and Dell Canada has a 75-100% markup on the US prices or in some cases doesn’t even offer the best products to Canadians (such as the Precision T3400 525w model).

I need a professional system that is scalable and supports at least 3-4 monitors, not the toys being flogged at futureshop/bestbuy. And not anything made by Acer.

***Does anyone know where a Canadian can buy a decent computer for a fair price these days? Most likely from a US company that will ship to Canada???***

(on a side note, I thought the whole point of NAFTA was to allow free trade across the Canada/US border that would be mutually beneficial for Canadians and Americans. ie I get a proper computer, US company gets my business. Not so, apparently…)

I have seen Newegg but heard they don’t ship to Canada… if that is true then not useful to me unfortunately
