What is the best desktop computer for me to get under $1,400 ?

I’m interested in buying a new desktop with a budget of 1400 dollars (Canadian). I want it to run smoothly and to be able to handle multiple applications at the same time. I don’t really need it for things like gaming, but I work with videos and media in general… programs like sony vegas, fx etc.. So what brand shoud I get? Gateway? HP? Acer?
Dual Core or i3/i5 etc?
I’m not exactly a pro at choosing the right technology, so I really need help

Oh, also I’ve been told to build one from scratch, but I don’t like the risks that come along with the parts not working together etc, just …no.

I run an inflatable party rentals business from home and my current laptop needs replacing. What is the best laptop that I can buy for a business (also personal use, internet, email, etc) that will store files without slowing down the computer and that wont brake 3 months after i buy it (like my old Acer) ? I dont need a massive amount of storage, but i also want to know that I have some extra storage in case need be. My budget for this is under ,000. I am starting a medical transcription business, but I need flexibility where I set up the computer, so I was thinking a laptop will work. I could connect a regular keyboard for comfort when typing if needed, right? Also what is a port and what does it do? What does the stand do? I"m quite clueless.
I have a budget of about 00. That includes the computer, the headset, the wireless network equipment I need to create a network in my home, a printer router, & Microsoft Office Small Business.

I will be typing about 4-5 hours per day.

I need a decent computer for gaming. Its’ graphics card needs to be able to handle games like World of Warcraft without getting to hot or laggy. My budget ends at 0.
I think you missed the part where I said my budget ENDS at 0. Those are 00 computers…

Recommended Best DESKTOP Computer Possible for $1400?

I am looking for some recommendations for the best computer I can build for a 00 budget. Use all 00 but don’t go over that. (oh and you can exclude Video Card, Tower, Monitor, and Sound Card because I already have those covered)

Build me the best computer with these parts and use newegg.com or tigerdirect.com website or any reputable website and name the item and price. (please no used or refurbished parts)

Things to include in the budget:
1. Motherboard
2. CPU
3. Ram (Memory)
4. Maybe even a hard drive.. I have a couple but they are not very fast so maybe I can speed that up but if you think thats not a huge deal don’t worry about that in the final price.
5. (oh, and if a 750watt power supply is not enough to power up the computer your building then may need one of those included.. if it is big enough then exclude this from the 00) Thanks!

my budget is between 750-800 bucks, i’ve had dell computers in the past, overall pretty happy with dell, but everyone has war stories about one company or another when dealing with customer service, and repairs and stuff like that. i was just wondering what kind of computer i should get for that kind of budget, thank you in advance
