Employer will not buy Apple. Will be editing lots of video, burning DVDs, etc. Needs BIG HD storage, fast cpu, fast graphics, many types of ports – USB2, SD, Firewire, etc. And of course, lots and lots of RAM.

I’ll be going on a business trip soon and I need to connect to my desktop mac to view files, documents and etc. I thought that if I leave my mac on and connected to the internet throughout the entire trip I would be able to access it from my mac book. What software could I use to do this? Anyone have any idea’s? Thanks.
Cheers. I was looking for a VNC software. But no offense or anything but Free BSD isn’t the Mac OS. I think what you mean is that the core of Apple’s Mac OS X, borrows heavily from FreeBSD.

I’m a music producer and i need to know what computer would perform best with all of the software that I use. Please list computers in both Apple and PC categories.

I was looking at Apple’s iMac and they look pretty awesome but my friend said that theres other computer that are way better than Mac, so i just wanted to know which is the best desktop? As in fastest, durable. Just looking for something that can last me at least 5 years or more. Thanks

I’m starting a rent-to-own computer business. I would like to know which brand of laptop and desktop computers that people think is the best.

Sony, Dell, Compaq, Toshiba, HP, Acer, or Apple (costs more)

I just need a reliable desktop computer to get through 3 more years of college and then I will get a very nice one (probably Apple) or build my own then b/c I’ll have more time to put it together & money. Right now I just need something i can use through college. Any suggestions, and WHY use that one?

I’m thinking about buying a new desktop computer and have narrowed my choices down to these three…..

Apple
Dell

Please if you know a specific model that is still being sold by that company via their website please list the model name. Also if you have a source (i.e. web address, consumer article, etc) that explains why its the best desktop please post/paste that along with your answer. Thanks
