My dad is gonna buy me a new computer, but I want a laptop, but he says I dont need one. only business people need them. I don’t want a desktop, since we do a lot of traveling, and I can take it on the go with me. what should I get?

You can get a much more powerful desktop computer for the same amount of money you’d be paying for a laptop.

If you want a computer for traveling, check out used/older laptops and buy one. I’d go for the desktop for daily use.

Laptops are really great, and so are desktops. But desktops are really for the whole family to use, and you can’t travel with them. i recommend a laptop if you do a lot of traveling. But if you do get a laptop, make sure you do the research for it so you can compare and contrast, and you know what your getting.

laptop, just tell your dad the pros of having a laptop and the cons of a desktop, and if that doesn’t be make a HUGE scene in the computer store ;)

So, let me see if I understand this correctly.
You have a choice between a laptop and a desktop.
Even though your father tells you that you don’t need a laptop, he is still giving you that option.
You want a computer that is portable, because you do a lot of traveling.
You are STILL asking which you should get.

Well, let me ask this. Can you travel well with a desktop?

Umm… it seems like you Want a laptop. However… if you want a portable computer, and you still can’t decide… then maybe you SHOULD get a desktop.

But it really depends on what you want to use the computer for… and you said nothing about that.

    end of line
