Can a full computer backup created on a laptop w/Vista Business be restored on a new laptop w/Vista Ultimate?

My laptop with Vista Business was stolen, but I made a full computer backup before it was stolen. I’m going to get a new computer with Vista Ultimate. can I restore the full computer backup without reverting from Ultimate back to Business? Are there other ways to get my files and settings?

If it was a full system recovery including the operating system as well then you are likely going to get your current OS replaced on the new computer. Also Business might become a trial instead of the full activated vista install. You could however, do this free of worries if your new laptop comes with a restore disc w/ OS so you can put it back in case the created restore discs from the other machine replace the OS as well or just when you have gotten your saved files. Although I highly doubt anything personal will be included in the created restore discs such as newly purchased/installed programs or documents. Usually those restores only contain the factory settings of your system. Oh well..Good luck anyway.
