why don’t you buy a laptop for 608 $ it’s very good one http://shopping.yahoo.com/p:Toshiba%20Satellite%20A135-S4527%20Laptop%20Computer:1994737523;_ylt=AtBBnU7KCc_AWYvslSQICbMbFt0A;_ylu=X3oDMTBic2hxMGNhBGx0AzQEc2VjA3Ny?clink=dmps/laptops/ctx=mid:5,pid:1994737523,pdid:5,pos:4,spc:14489115,date:20071210,srch:kw,x:
…it has got 1.73 Ghz "speed" and 1 GB of ram and 120 GB of Hard Disk …I’m using such one,,,I’m a computer engineer and it’s veeeery good with me so how would it be with you since you just need it for the College,,,good luck
I recommend purchasing a PC and not a MAC for college.
The reason for this is because many of your course related material may involve PC based work.
MACs are wonderful for professions but not so much for a college student. That is however just a personal opinion
I just purchased a great PC from Dell for under $700. Their new laptop lines are great for the price. You can get a laptop for only 599 and it is very decent quality. You may want to spend more towards the 700 dollar mark though as to not get the cheapest PC
I highly recommend Dell simply because off the bat you get 1 year of service. You can also purchase more if you find it necessary. The new desktops and laptops range everywhere from 500-2500. The low end laptops around 600-700 are actually perfect for the average user and are not poor quality at all.
well if you go under 700 sony is out of the question. Unless you buy one with crappy specs.
honestly, although im not a fan of the company, go with dell. good service, good warranties. if not, go hp.
Most of the Big box Stores offer complete systems in a range from about $500 up – watch for specials.
If you are not too computer savy, purchase the 3 year extended instore warranty – make sure it includes replacement if the system cannot be repaired.
Remember, you are buying a low end computer – do not expect it to be fast.
Check Dell, Future Shop, Best Buy, etc.
Good Luck.
Dell are very good and have had some good deals lately.
Hi. Look for a used machine. I do not have an Apple but that would be my choice if I were buying one for that purpose. (Mine is home built.)
the cheapest one walmart has because for under 700.00 it will last for about a week past the 12 month warranty so you’ll have to buy one a year
