Business Computer Network

I am starting college in a couple months and I need to buy a new laptop computer; however, I am not sure which is the best to buy. I will need it to write reports and work on projects. I also plan to take a lot of multimedia and film studies classes that will require me to make and burn my own DVD’s so it needs to be able to do that. I currently have a sony vaio but i need a better one for college. Please help, Thanks!

My dad wants a business computer and I want a laptop. He said that we might be better off with 2 model B laptops as model C desktop has less hard drive memory than model B and is more expensive. I need advice please?

I have a laptop run by the Windows Vista system and every now and then my father uses it for business. When he used the internet last time on his part of the computer my large favorites list and file folders would appear as opposed to his own favorites list and file folders.How can I correct this oddity and organize my computer??

I’m looking for a laptop to replace my iPad. I was looking at Macbooks, but they’re far out of my price range. I would like one for 0 or less (preferably less). I need one that’s fast and doesn’t have the tendency to overheat. Need a lot of battery life, of course. I will be using it mostly for photo editing. I will also use it for video editing and music stuff like iTunes and such. What is the best brand and model at a fairly cheap price? Dell, HP, Toshiba?

Of course I want a quality monitor at a cheap price too.

My laptop keeps crash dumping and I keep getting calls from a technician in India who wants to fix my computer. I am suspicious of this. Is he crash dumping my computer to get the business? And how can I stop him/it if so?
